Power lead - Wiring diagram (Compatible with Spider 1 to Spider 8)

This is the power lead wiring diagram. This is compatible fro the Spider 1 to the Spider 8

If you use the cigarette lighter plug, Spiders are considered a portable device, if you hardwire the Spider, this can be considered a minor modification. Most customers hardwire the Spiders without issues, they usually connect it to the avionics bus, using a switch.

Please see the file attached in order to find the power lead diagram, this will help you to hardwire your Spider to your aircraft.

Notes:

The USB cable is only used to update the Spider, in order for the unit to connect to the satellite we recommend to hardwire the spider to the power supply of your aircraft, or using the cigar plug of the aircraft.

Input Voltage: 10-32VDC. Ensuring the power supply is capable of delivering at least 1.5 A peak current. Spidertracks recommends protecting the device from damaging spikes by using an in-line   3 A fuse, and if required 18 – 22 AWG wire can be used depending on length.
