If you need to check that we are online, please look at the map below. If the dot for our Heartbeat unit is green or blue - we are!

If it's not on the other hand, something is going wrong. Check our twitter page for updates, but if it looks like we don't know about it yet, call us: +64 6 353 3395, 1800 491 2895 (US/Canada).

On the 21st of June 2011, we released Aviator to the world! You are now welcome to sign up for an account on Aviator. There are a few migration steps that need to happen, and as all billing is still processed by the Fleetpro site, so you'll still need an account on this site, and you'll continue to be able to view tracks on here. If you use the iOS app, you'll need to use your Fleetpro login to access this.

To get started, please follow these instructions depending on what you are:

New User

Please sign up for an account on Aviator (http://go.spidertracks.com) and on Fleetpro (https://app.spidertracks.com) . Once you have done this, register your spider in Fleetpro by clicking on spiders -> register. Then follow the instructions for current users (below).

Current User

You can continue to use the current website by clicking login, and selecting Fleetpro. Alternatively, bookmark https://app.spidertracks.com, and use this.

  4. In the mean time, you can add friends and followers, support people and your aircraft and personal details to Aviator, but clicking on My Profile on the navigation bar at the top when you're logged in

Important Information

  • The old website will still receive your tracks and you'll be able to view them on here if you need to
  • Your public page from Fleetpro will still be accessible
  • Once you have signed up for Aviator, and we have switched your spider over, you will no longer be able to change its settings on the old website
  • Aviator is a completely new platform from the current Fleetpro site, and your old tracks will not be present. We are investigating migrating these over, but they will always be available in the current site
  • All billing functions will still be run from within Fleetpro until November 2011
  • You are only able to register one spider to an Aviator account - Aviator is not for commercial users with multiple spiders

If your S3 spider has one, two of three of the LEDs along the top of the spider flashing, your spider may have put itself into self test mode.

For a temporary fix, please let the spider sit outside, and get a fix, then press all three buttons once all three LEDs are flashing. The three LEDs will stop flashing, and the right hand LED will alternate orange and green. At this point, repower the spider, and it will be operative. Please contact us as soon as possible to alert us to this problem.

Your spider will require a firmware upgrade to fix this bug. Please see this article to learn how to upgrade the firmware on your spider.

Updating a Spider S3 or Spider S4

We occasionally release firmware updates for Spiders, which can be upgraded on most Windows based computers. The upgrade procedure for Spider S2s is different than that for Spider S3s and Spider S4s. Please follow the appropriate instructions. If you're unsure which spider you have, please read this article.

Installing the Updating Application:

  1. Please download the Spider UpdaterNote - supported operating systems are Windows XP and Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit versions).
  2. Click on and run the installer, following the steps of the install wizard. It may pause for up to 10 minutes to download updates to your computer's version of Java.

Updating your Spider S3 or Spider S4:

  1. After installing the application, run the S3 Updater from the Start - Program Files menu. This application is also used for Spider S4 units.
  2. Plug in your Spider S3 or Spider S4 using the short black reprogramming lead supplied with the Spider. If you have misplaced this, you will need a USB-A to USB-mini B lead. The first time this is done your computer will ask to install drivers. You'll need to select no (for the windows update search) and then continue, allow the driver to install, and then click finish.
  3. When the updater finds the Spider, the Prepare Spider for Programming button will become enabled. Click the button. The updater will instruct you to unplug and then plug back in the spider. The driver installation process will happen again if this is the first time you've updated a Spider. If the Prepare Spider for Programming button does not become enabled but the blue light is on (Spider S3 only), click the advanced tab at the top of the Updater and click program spider.
  4. Once the spider is plugged back in, click on the Program Spider button. Once the updater instructs you that the process is finished, unplug the spider and you're done!

PLEASE NOTE: YOUR SPIDER WILL BE RESET TO STANDARD SETTINGS (TIME UPDATE RATE OF 2 MINUTES), SO WILL NEED TO BE UPDATED AGAIN FROM THE SPIDER SETTINGS PAGE.

  • If you have different settings, please change the spider back to the standard settings prior to updating, and then back to what you want after you have updated
  • Your spider must not be powered by the power lead during the upgrade
  • Geofences are now available in this firmware version (as at September 2011). If you require Geofences, please email support@spidertracks.com
  • Dimming has now been reintroduced (as at September 2011) - please see this page for details
  • If you have a blue LED shining on the spider (and when you plug it in, the top button will not become active), please plug the spider in, and then click advanced, and then click program spider
